is seeking an Experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team.
We are currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus to qualified individuals.

Our company specializes in tilt-up panels, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings, as well as curb and sidewalk.
Position
Summary:
The experienced Concrete Finisher is responsible for hand finishing and/or machine finishing small, medium, and large-scale flatwork under the supervision of a foreman within job specifications and quality standards of Stief Concrete Work, Inc.
The position is also required to assist with building and stripping forms as well as pouring and placing concrete.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Proficiently hand finish various size pads with a float, towel, edger, and jointer.
- Effectively operate a walk behind or ride on power trowel/finishing machine.
- Understand the variables that affect set speed and apply appropriate timing and techniques to produce satisfactory results.
- Accurately set and maintain a wet bench.
- Applying various finishes per project specifications (i.
e.
trowel, broom, architectural, swirl, polished, etc.
).
- Establish and accurately apply elevations, grades, and slopes when finishing concrete.
- Measure, layout, and cut joints according to project specifications and concrete mix.
- Assist with building and stripping flatwork and wall forms.
- Assist with pouring and placing concrete.
- Work as a team; accept constructive criticism and teach less experienced colleagues.
Required Education/Experience/Skills/Certifications:
- Three or more years of concrete finishing experience (commercial experience a plus) - Reliable, consistent, team player with a positive attitude - Valid driver's license - High School Diploma or GED (preferred) - OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain) Job Type:
