Summary:
The Laborer/Forklift Operator is responsible for performing general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting and moving material in addition to operating a forklift.
Laborers also assist with a variety of functions related to manual labor tasks as needed.
Essential Functions:
Operate forklifts and other assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Understand and follow all Federal, State, Local, and Corporate safety regulations and policies.
Climb ladders, reaching overhead, bending, pulling on wrenches, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Maintain a clean working environment.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION AND
Experience:
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting - 50 pounds minimum.
Capable of working at height and in confined spaces.
Capable of shoveling wet, sticky, material for extended periods of time.
