ResponsibilitiesThe Test Engineer will validate the performance and reliability of haying equipment in actual field conditions.
Select performance evaluations may also be completed on-site in a lab / shop environment.
The Test Engineer will also participate in or oversee the development and building of prototypes for both Current Product and New Product projects.
Responsibilities Conduct and oversee field validation testing of whole machines, or sub-systems thereof, while documenting the root cause of field issues in a timely and objective manner through internal reporting systems Collaborate with Product Engineering to practically and effectively resolve these issues uncovered in the field Drive to develop new or novel test methods which simulate field failures at an accelerated rate in a lab setting, and accurately correlate these rates to the field failures for swift development of field fixes Tear down, repair, modify, rebuild, or assemble units and components to meet Product Engineering or Product Validation needs Evaluate customer appeal / acceptance and value of product features Work with dealers and farmers alongside CNH Commercial Marketing to ensure adequate test coverage, security / confidentiality of prototypes, and a favorable company image to contacts Work directly with other members (internal customers) of the Platform Team including design, quality, marketing, and manufacturing, as well as other test organizations within CNH This position pays $88,000 to $132,000.
(Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
) QualificationsQualified Candidate (Must Have) Bachelor's Degree in technical, agricultural, or engineering discipline, or an Associate's Degree and equivalent experience Capable of traveling to North American test locations for extended periods of time (at least 4 weeks per trip) Ability to maintain a driver's license and a DOT logbook Self-starter who can work unsupervised for weeks at a time and deliver results Hands-on skills and ability to complete harness repairs (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, soldering, etc.
), analyze CAN data or ability to learn Understanding of electrical schematics Ideal Candidate (Nice to Have) 2
